Her Windows, 2024 Painting

'My parents’ generations either used to, or still do work in factories. Manual labour is something I consider part of my heritage and is often referenced in the objects I create. Often this process transforms working-class domestic starting points into something that feels luxurious or previously out of reach, whether a cheap morph suit intricately painted to create a replica Spiderman costume, or the window netting from my Grandmother’s home rendered in gold. Each requires a durational approach to their crafting.'
